EDAG Group starts engineering business in Turkey

EDAG, the world's largest independent engineering company, has opened its first office in Turkey. With the start of the engineering center in Bilisim Vadisi (Gebze/Kocaeli). EDAG has expanded its international site network to over 60 locations. Since last year, the EDAG Group has been working for TOGG as the engineering partner to support the vehicle development of the first Turkish electric vehicle brand with an international team of expert engineers. EDAG will now offer on-site support at the 600 square meter office in Bilisim Vadisi.

On the launch of their new office in Turkey resulting from their cooperation with TOGG, EDAG CEO Cosimo De Carlo commented the following: “Since May 2019, as the engineering partner, we have been successfully cooperating with TOGG. This partnership reached to a point where we decided that we must have an office in Turkey. Because we are fully confident that TOGG will make and important contribution to E mobility of Turkey and Europe”.

EDAG Group COO Harald Keller expressed his satisfaction for the opening of EDAG Turkey in the IT Valley and said “As a result of our cooperation with TOGG, we are convinced that Turkey will play an increasing role in the future automotive market. We have therefore also decided to deliver our 360 degree vehicle engineering competencies to the automotive industry in Turkey. By providing access to our EDAG international network for potential customers from Turkey in this way, we reinforce our positioning as the global mobility engineering expert.”

Mertcan Kaptanoglu, who has many years of experience in automotive engineering, will manage the headquarters of EDAG in the IT Valley. He will be building up a 30-strong team of engineers in the near future. In the long term, the EDAG Group is planning to strategically expand its activities in Turkey.
